Need some help?
You’re not the only one. I’ve gathered the most common questions about shipping, framing, commissions, and more—so you don’t have to wonder.

Can I try before I decide?

Yes, if you're on my mailing list, you can request a personalized mock-up before you buy. Just send an email to maartje@studiomadebo.com with a clear photo of your wall (with some of the room included) and the name of the artwork you’re considering. I’ll create a visual preview for you—so you can see how it might look in your space.

Are the mosaics in this store suitable for any space?

The mosaics in this store are intended for indoor, dry spaces—think studios, offices, living areas, cafés, or galleries. Because of the materials and techniques I use, they’re not suited for outdoor walls, bathrooms, or areas with high humidity.
If a piece is created for different conditions, I’ll note it in the product description.

How does ‘buy now, pay later’ work?

You can choose Klarna at checkout—a trusted and secure payment provider.
Depending on your country, Klarna may offer you two options:

  • Pay Later (pay after delivery)
  • Slice It (pay in instalments)

Just select Klarna when you check out and follow the prompts.
Availability depends on your location and Klarna’s approval process.

How do you package and ship?

Every mosaic is packed with care—bubble-wrapped, boxed, and shipped with insurance.

Once your payment is complete, you’ll receive an order confirmation by email. Originals usually ship within 5 business days.

As soon as your artwork is on its way, I’ll send a second email with tracking info and an estimated delivery date—so you’ll know when to expect your piece.

Please double-check your contact details and delivery address before ordering. If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, any additional shipping costs for redelivery will be the buyer’s responsibility. Thanks for understanding!

If you’re ordering from outside the EU, your country may charge import taxes, duties, or customs fees.

Do you accept returns and give refunds?

Yes—I want you to be truly happy with your artwork. If you change your mind, you can return original collages or unframed prints for a full refund within 14 days of delivery.

Returns must be approved in advance. The piece must be in perfect condition, carefully repackaged, and shipped with insurance. Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility.

To request a return, please email me at  maartje@studiomadebo.com  with your request, a clear photo of the artwork in its current condition, and your receipt or proof of purchase.

Original mosaics, custom artworks, sale items, and gift cards are not eligible for return, unless damaged during shipping. Mosaics may contain fragile materials which makes safe restocking difficult.

If your artwork arrives damaged, contact me within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the damage and packaging. I’ll make it right.

Help! My package is missing or my artwork arrived damaged.

If you’ve received a delivery confirmation but the package hasn’t arrived, please email me at maartje@studiomadebo.com within 48 hours. I’ll look into it right away and help sort it out.

In the rare case that your artwork arrives damaged, please take a few clear photos, keep the original packaging, and email me within 48 hours. Due to insurance requirements, I’m only able to accept damage claims within this time frame.

Once I’ve reviewed the photos, I’ll get back to you and we’ll work together on a solution.
