meet the 'Waiting for me' collection
A collection about change, trust, and a realisation: maybe you were just waiting for yourself...
or follow what pulls you in

Hi, I’m Maartje, a Dutch mosaic and collage artist. I didn’t grow up making art. For years, I lived in my head, working with data. Until, at 40, something in me shifted. My heart needed to feel again. My hands needed to create.
A so-called ‘chronic’ back injury in 2012 led me down an unexpected path: one of emotional healing. To my surprise, as I began to heal within, my body began to follow. That journey changed everything.
Now, through mosaics and collages, I tell stories of self-love, becoming, and the power that connects us all. My art is how I remember who I am, and how I invite others to do the same.
when my art resonates
Grace"This piece reminds me how connected I am: to nature, to the planet,
to life!"
Suze"Peaceful. It actually makes me feel like I am stepping out of my rushed life into a serene spa session. A peaceful moment, just for me, all thoughts can stay outside for a moment."
Christine"Your eye for colours and shapes is exquisite. What a beautiful pattern!"

make room for what matters
Choose art that feels like you.
You are not broken. You don´t need to "find" yourself. You were never really lost.
But life can feel fragmented. And in those moments it's easy to feel defeated.
Until you remember this: your experiences, emotions, and memories are not flaws to fix; they make you who you really are. Made up of a thousand different pieces and beautifully unique. And yet, you are connected, to other people, to the universe, and to something larger that carries you.
Every piece is a testament to wholeness
you may also love the mosaics
if you feel drawn to texture, light, glass and stone
this is how a room becomes yours
